The Claims Guys Friday Update – 11.03.11
It’s Friday at The Claims Guys offices and the buzz around the office is still about Tottenham getting through to the last 8 of the Champions League – and the first English manager to achieve this!
Looking forward to the weekend, the 6 Nations are back on with Italy playing France and Wales taking on Ireland on Saturday, followed by England versus Scotland (also playing for the Calcutta Cup) on Sunday. Today England also play against Bangladesh in the Cricket World Cup, with a win guaranteeing qualification to the next round.
In the news this week; Prudential has threatened to move their HQ out of the UK to Asia if any more negative changes occur; BoE MPC has held the base rate at 0.5% meaning that there has been no change for 2 years; and Google acquired Beatthatquote.com this week for £37.7m.
Also this week, research commissioned by Genworth Financial shows three quarters of MPs think that people with a stable income but without savings should be able to access mortgage finance. Some mortgage providers seem to be agreeing and are starting to make things easier for potential borrowers by raising LTVs up to 90-95%.
Although this is an improvement for borrowers, there is currently still the need for a minimum 5% deposit. The Claims Guys can’t give you this money unfortunately, but we can help you to get some money back if you have been mis-sold PPI on previous loans or had charges on your credit card, and you could use this as a starting point for your deposit (or anything else you may need it for!).
Have a great weekend!
